Here follows a tutorial on how to create an automatically generated animation inside the Killing Floor Editor.

  1. Create your animation frame by frame in an image editor.
  2. Save these images as seperate files, all with the suffix _axx, where xx is a two digit number.

So for example, if you choose the name "killingfloor" your images should be named like this:
    • killingfloor_a00.tga
    • killingfloor_a01.tga
    • killingfloor_a02.tga
    • and so on...
All the images must have the size.
  3. In the Texture Browser, click File > Import. Then simply select to open all of the images of your animation. The editor will now make an animation of the supplied frames.
  4. Once that's done, click to open Properties of the one named killingfloor_a00.tga. Change to the desired speed.

And you're done! The texture you want to use is the one that ends with a00.
