It seems like the spread is a bit tighter than the M3. This leads to more shot hitting a single target, thereby increasing damage dealt. I don't have any truly scientific way of verifying this, but it seems to be the case. Dinky 04:18, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Too be honest, I think its too over costed to care. Its barely even an upgrade on the shotgun. It seems like it does less damage per shot and I wouldn't be surprised if that is actually true. For the same reason why they made the AA12 have lower damage per shot than the shotgun. You can probably tell I'm not a fan of the combat shotgun.
